International Travel

As a student studying in the United States, you may be able to travel during your time of study. If you travel internationally, for annual vacation or during a school break, make sure you take the appropriate steps before you travel to ensure a smooth reentry into the United States.  Steps include:

  • Obtaining a travel signatures on your I-20 (Meet with your DSO)
  • Valid travel documentation
    • Passport
    • Visa
    • I-20
  • Maintain up to date information on travel restrictions (Note: It is ALWAYS YOUR responsibility to research where you are traveling and the restrictions the United States may have on travel).

Domestic Travel

Travel within the United States is also approved during breaks.  Again, it is your responsibility to research the areas that you are traveling and any laws that may differ from Denver, Colorado.  For travel within the US, we recommend always carrying your passport, I-20, and any documents relevant to your visit.

Travel Advisories

International Student Support will do our best to inform students of travel advisories in accordance with the Department of State.  As always, it is the responsibility of all students to research the areas which they wish to travel.  For more information on these advisories, students can visit the U.S. Department of State Website.
